Biography
Lauren Gilholm is a commercial advertising photographer, specialising in product, food, and automotive photography.
Most children try their hand at taking photos during their childhood. Lauren was the same. Her love for taking photos developed during her childhood, and after being given an Olympus E-PM 1 she quickly found her passion.
After achieving her BA Honours Degree in Photography in 2023, she began freelancing for businesses all throughout Northumberland and up into the highlands of Scotland.
Lauren combines her love for the natural world with her subjects, introducing flora and fauna into her product work, scene building in her food photography, and embracing beautiful locations and colours in her automotive work.

Awards
Association of Photographers Emerging Talent
Lauren is absolutely honoured to have been shortlisted for the Association of Photographers Emerging Talent award in 2024!
The images were displayed in London at the Village Underground.

NCUC Award
Lauren was lucky enough to win the 2023 NCUC Award with her portfolio of advertising work and Rescue Dogs series. The prize involved a dedicated exhibition in Newcastle in 2023.
Association of Photographers (Student Competition)
2023 was also the year she was shortlisted for the AOP Student awards! Her floating bag series impressed the judges enough to reach the final shortlist, and thus be exhibited in London.
Lauren's 'Rescue Dogs and Their Stories' series was shortlisted for the Photo North Student Competition in 2023.
Her quail egg was also shortlisted in the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year Student Category in 2022.
